Thousand Hills Productions
Stories that teach.
We believe stories matter.
Everyone has a story. Whose life could yours change?
Looking back at history, one thing stays constant throughout the millenia. From Paleolithic cave paintings, to virtual reality sensory immersion tanks... humans love to experience a good story.
Because stories allow us to step outside of our limited perspective, just for a minute, and experience the world through someone else's eyes.
To feel feelings we don't normally feel.
To witness the reality of another consciousness.
They remind us of the system we're all a part of, the grander scheme, the bigger plot.
They teach us.
And so, we realize, a well-told story can be the catalyst to inspire action. It can inspire and empower a person like nothing else can.
Which is why we tell stories.
Our Story
Hi, I'm Stephen Bowes.
That's me on the right.
(The one with the glasses)
In 1999 I fulfilled my childhood dream and bought a farm for my family to live on.
It was a beautiful piece of land, on top of a hill. We named it "A Thousand Hills Farm" because it was like you could see a thousand hills.
We produced several films there, as well as running a camp teaching young adults how to make films.
In 2005 we produced our first full length, feature film, naming it "A Thousand Hills" after the farm.
In 2014 we sold this film to a production house, receiving major distribution across America, renamed as "God Save Our Farm"
Since then we have been involved in producing numerous shorter films all with the intention to tell stories that teach important lessons.
